The Story's Truth:

Everyone can be loved, we should love each other for our differences , everyone belongs, there is no reason to discriminate, everyone can be loved for who they are.
- No matter where they come from or who you are you are/can be loved

Flip Truth Upside Down:

People can never be loved or excepted/love or except others because of their differences, unpredictability, unknown factors and mysteries

Misbelief:

She can never be fully loved or excepted, because of what she is and her differences (because she different, dangerous, and a monster) She will never find people who truly love her and aren't afraid of her.
- Everything that she touches falls apart: everything is her fault

What happened in my characters past to believe such a thing? (Launch of misbelief):

Was abandoned as a child
- Forest/her father takes her in
Forest ends up getting really hurt
- has permanent limp
- lost his whisper

Cementing Moments:

Her fathers life was ruined because he took her in
- Sometimes she wonders if he regrets it
- If he ever thinks about what his life would have been like if he had pretended like he had never seen her and just left her there to die
- He had to leave his home
- He lost his job and any hope of ever having another one
- No one would ever publish his novel
  - Although he said he was just messing around and writing things here or there one night she had snuck a look at his papers and found a full on novel!! It was still in the works but the stuff he had so far was beautiful, exquisite
- He would always be an outcast because she was an outcast
small everyday reminders that she is
- unwelcome in town
- that town is dangerous for her
people have glared at her or called her names
people have tried to have her banished

Her Solutions to Her Misbelief:

Try to make herself the most nymph she could possibly be
- She is an amazing gardener
- She can identify almost any plant in the forest
- She knows how to “fly” through the forest like they do
- It’s even her cover when she goes to the fights
Well since there is no way to change what she is, she tries to reverse the effects and what it has done to her father
- She tries to earn and save up enough money to buy him his book store
  - So she works in the back of a herbs and tonics store of a socially rebellious old gnome woman
    - She brings in the herbs they grow on their farm
    - The organizes the back
    - And she goes out scavenging when asked to find the wild more rare herbs
    - That way no one ever sees her so the business isn't ruined she always leaves out the back
    - This is where she meets her nymph friend
      - Only friend she has at the beginning
  - She also sneaks out almost every night to win fights at the fights
    - So she can bring in money that way
    - She hides her identity and pretends to be a nymph during these fights
- She anonymously appeals to the council every week to allow him back into the nymph hometree
- She is trying to make her fathers life as good and easy as humanly possible
  - She brings him back new books from time to time
  - She helps him harvest a lot of the garden and trees
  - She encourages him to publish his novel
  - And always makes sure his needs are met and he gets to do whatever he wants to (aka mostly makes time for him to read)
    - “How do you repay a sacrifice that big” - elementals seriously true though and a big driving force of her internal conflict and mission at the beginning
She trying to avoid wishing or hoping for her own life but secretly once she makes her dad’s dream come true and provides him his dream life she imagines running away to a human kingdom
- wants to see the world
  - Because their might be a place where she can start fresh
    - But while trying to search for this place (while also trying to save the world) she finds it not in a place but in people, her people, her friends

How Dissatisfied with life today:

lonely
trapped - tiny world she's living in
Feels terribly guilty for ruining her dad’s life
does not feel like she belongs
Feels unacceptable
unaccepted
thinks she's a monster
- Has always been told humans were monsters
  - And she’s ruined her dads life
    - So that kinda solidifies that for her
- Also morphs are arrogant selfish monsters
  - So when she finds out she's a morph too that doesn’t exactly help
constantly is in fear of herself
- As a human - in fear of the consequences on her loved ones for being around her
- Only magnified when the wolf came into the picture
  - not being in control of the wolf, and knowing with any emotion that is too strong it could come bursting out of her,
  - So she’s trying to hide it while also in denial of it herself

what does she think will make her happy?: (The more basic needs/goals)

To fix her dad’s ruined life
- But then realizes that she just needs to leave because she just keeps making it worse
  - Well that's what she thinks
To be the same as the people around her
To be accepted
To belong
To have the freedom to find all these things
- To no longer be trapped in her tiny hated piece of the world

What is her goal:

Desire vs. Fear:

Desire:
- To be accepted, appreciated, loved, and wanted
  - she has that with her dad and Willow, but with every other person in her life looks at her like a disease or like a monster
- To find her place in the world
  - were she can be loved, and not despised
Fear:
- That she will lose the only love she has ever had and could ever have
- That she will be betraying her father, and that leaving would further ruin his life
  - She must sacrifice because of her fathers sacrifice

Misbelief

She is a monster, doomed to destroy, and that what she is is unacceptable and she will never find people who love and accept all of her

What does she do to achieve her goal and avoid her fear?:
